In a world where technology evolves at lightning speed, it's awe-inspiring to reflect on the ultimate source of all creation. As Hong Kong buzzes with innovation, from digital currency platforms to beloved robotic cats, we're reminded of a timeless truth: "For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him" (Colossians 1:16). This verse beautifully captures the essence of God's role in all creation, including the marvels of science and technology we witness daily while drawing us deeper into God’s heart.

In the hustle and bustle of our fast-paced city, it's easy to get caught up in the noise and chaos. Yet, amidst the challenges we face—be it economic uncertainties, mental health struggles, or the pressures of daily life—there's a timeless wisdom that calls us to find strength in stillness. Isaiah 30:15b reminds us: *"...in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it."* Let this be a gentle reminder to pause, reflect, and find peace in the quiet moments. In a world that demands instant results, let’s embrace the power of a quieted soul.

Israel, put your hope in the LORD    both now and for evermore.

In a world bustling with events and activities, it's essential to remember that our faith should be more than just words—it should be reflected in our actions. As James 2:17 reminds us, "Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” Join us this Sunday as we hear from Marilee Pierce Dunker, who is the author of 5 books and the daughter of the founder of the international Christian NGO, World Vision, on how we are all called into action and moved for God’s heart for all peoples.

================This Week's Scripture:// James 2:15-17 //Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

In the hustle and bustle of our fast-paced lives, it's easy to forget the profound gifts we've received. As we navigate through the challenges and changes in Hong Kong, let's take a moment to reflect on the power of forgiveness, restoration, and the great grace of God through the confidence of Psalm 103:2: "Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” In these times of rapid technological advancements and societal shifts, may we remember to anchor ourselves in gratitude and faith. God's grace is a constant, guiding us through every trial and triumph. Let's embrace His forgiveness and allow it to restore our hearts and communities.

================This Week's Scripture:// Psalm 130 //A song of ascents.Out of the depths I cry to you, LORD;    Lord, hear my voice.Let your ears be attentive    to my cry for mercy.
If you, LORD, kept a record of sins,    Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness,    so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits,    and in his word I put my hope.I wait for the Lord    more than watchmen wait for the morning,    more than watchmen wait for the morning.
Israel, put your hope in the LORD,    for with the LORD is unfailing love    and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel    from all their sins.

No offense, but... kindness is the ultimate power move. Come join us this Sunday as we delve into this message with guest speaker, Jeff Lam and learn, how, in a world that often feels divided, it's easy to get caught up in negativity. ================This Week's Scripture:// John 18:1-12 //Jesus arrestedWhen he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the other side there was a garden, and he and his disciples went into it.
Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples. So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.
Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, ‘Who is it you want?’
‘Jesus of Nazareth,’ they replied.‘I am he,’ Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, ‘I am he,’ they drew back and fell to the ground.
Again he asked them, ‘Who is it you want?’
‘Jesus of Nazareth,’ they said.
Jesus answered, ‘I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go.’ This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: ‘I have not lost one of those you gave me.’
Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.)
Jesus commanded Peter, ‘Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?’
Then the detachment of soldiers with its commander and the Jewish officials arrested Jesus. They bound him

This week, we look at how when the going gets tough, the tough remember the promise in James 1:12: “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” Let us continue to find strength and encouragement as we persevere. The crown of life awaits those who remain steadfast in their faith and love for the Lord.

================This Week's Scripture:// Psalm 129 // A song of ascents.‘They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,’    let Israel say;‘they have greatly oppressed me from my youth,    but they have not gained the victory over me.Ploughmen have ploughed my back    and made their furrows long. But the LORD is righteous;    he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.’
May all who hate Zion    be turned back in shame.May they be like grass on the roof,    which withers before it can grow;a reaper cannot fill his hands with it,    nor one who gathers fill his arms.May those who pass by not say to them,    ‘The blessing of the LORD be on you;    we bless you in the name of the LORD.’

We are consistently reminded of the enduring power of faith, hope, and love in Hong Kong. As we navigate through the trials and tribulations, let us hold onto the words of 1 Corinthians 13:13: "Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” It is through love that we find the courage and the hope to build a brighter future.

In these challenging times, when tensions can run high, it's important to remember the power of forgiveness. As the Bible reminds us, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32) Extending grace and letting go of resentment can be truly liberating—not just for the one receiving forgiveness, but for the one offering it as well. When we choose to forgive, we free ourselves from the burden of bitterness and open the door to healing and restoration.

In a fast-paced world, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and question the significance of our daily efforts. But remember what God says in Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” As we navigate the challenges and opportunities of the city, let's embrace the unique purpose God has for each of us. Whether it's through acts of kindness, community service, or simply being a light in someone's life, our work has eternal value.

================This Week's Scripture:// Psalm 127 //A song of ascents. Of Solomon.Unless the Lord builds the house,    the builders labour in vain.Unless the Lord watches over the city,    the guards stand watch in vain.In vain you rise early    and stay up late, toiling for food to eat –    for he grants sleep to those he loves.
Children are a heritage from the Lord,    offspring a reward from him.Like arrows in the hands of a warrior    are children born in one’s youth.Blessed is the man    whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame    when they contend with their opponents in court.

================This Week's Scripture:// Psalm 126 //A song of ascents. When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion,    we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter,    our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations,    ‘The LORD has done great things for them.’The LORD has done great things for us,    and we are filled with joy.
Restore our fortunes, LORD,    like streams in the Negev. Those who sow with tears    will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping,    carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy,    carrying sheaves with them.
